How would you like to come and go as you please?
The program provides door-to-door transportation and escort services to primarily elderly and people with disabilities living in the metropolitan Springfield area. It operates between 8 am and 4 pm Monday through Friday. This program works with a number of groups directly concerned with the elderly including the Greater Springfield Senior Service, Springfield Council on Aging, Springfield Housing Authority and the Urban League. Currently, MSSC/NCCBA operates nine Section 16(b)(2) vans that provide more than 45,000 one-way trips a year. This figure represents 20% of the paratransit services provided by PVTA and almost 25% of its elderly transportation services. Rides are provided to medical appointments such as kidney dialysis, congregate meals sites, shopping, senior centers, social services and banks.
Safety
Your safety while riding on our van is our responsibility. Once you exit the van, you are responsible for your safety and any special attention you may require (i.e. Care Attendant or Personal Assistant).
